This is the 12th episode of the video and audio podcast KX TALKS.
Its topic is “On the ‘Use of Bodies’ and Other Philosophical Demons“, and the occasion of the conversation is the publication of the Bulgarian translation of Giorgio Agamben’s seminal book The Use of Bodies.
This is a book that closes, according to the Italian philosopher himself, the famous cycle of works entitled ‘Homo Sacer’.
The traditional host of the podcast – philosopher, cultural journalist, university lecturer Nikolay Kolev – talks to a philosopher and psychologist, university lecturer, author of short stories and a novel, translator of Agamben’s book Valentin Kalinov.
As usual, the conversation goes far beyond its main reference – Agamben’s book, while extending its lens over the entire ‘Homo Sacer’ series, discusses some of the concepts which are fundamental to the Italian philosopher, and shows the clash between the „purely“ philosophical and the political, the actuality and the potentiality.
