We create booktrailers … with you!

During the last decade we have been trying to experiment in our work, as we believe, first, that publiahing books is above all a cultural work (and only in one aspect – an economic activity), and because we think that the meaning of a cultural work is to be a patient effort of expanding the boundaries of freedom. And we believe the experiment is the best way towards breakthroughs in this direction.

We experiment practically with new ways of presenting our books to the public, as well as of “luring” new publics. We mainly try to involve them into being active participants (and not only passive audiences), at least as far as our book launches are concerned.

One of the ways we prefer to work together with our important readers – i.e. the students in human and social sciences – is to involve them in creating booktrailers together.

We have successfully implemented several experimental projects of creating booktrailes: In 2014-2015, a number of students, experts, consultants took part in thus experimental process. Here are their names (in alphabetic order): Angel Ivanov (student), Antoaneta Koleva (our director and the initiator of the experiment), Assya Zaharieva (student), Veryna Petrova (expert educational projects), Veronika Varcheva (student), Vessel Tzankov (consultant, Bulgarian National Radio), Gabriela Dineva (student), Gabriela Russinova (student), Katerina Georgieva (student), Lidia Kondova (student), Nikolay Dulgerov (student), Raya Raeva (student), Slavi Siryanov (student), Stanimir Stoyanov (student), Yavor Stoilov (student), Yana Levieva (consultant, book designer, teacher at the National Academy of Fine Arts) and many friends.

The project was partially financed by the National Fund Culture.
